The rule is simple: let the records do the talking. Here is how that rule is applied.

Four kinds of source

Official record: Government, court or regulator records. Linked to the original.
My project record: My contract, photos, payments, messages and what I saw on my own lot.
Company statement: L&G’s own words: its contract, website or written replies.
Third-party report: Reviews and complaints by other people. Allegations, not findings.

The rules I hold myself to

Facts about my project come from documents I hold: the signed contract, payment confirmations, my photos, my messages, and county inspection records.
When I quote L&G, I quote its exact words and say which page they came from.
When something is my opinion, the sentence says “I believe,” “in my view” or “I contend.”
Other customers’ reviews are summarized as allegations, linked to the original, with L&G’s reply alongside.
Court and agency records are described for what they are. A trucking fine is a trucking fine. A lawsuit is an allegation.
If I do not know something yet, including whether L&G holds a general contractor license, I say I do not know.
When a document is still on its way, the page says what is coming. Blank is better than wrong.

What I leave out

My street address, phone number and email. L&G’s bank and wire details, which appear in my packet. The names of salespeople and office staff, who are not the decision-makers. Anyone’s home address, even where a public record shows it. Exact location data is removed from photos before they are posted.

Who is behind this

I am the customer and property owner on this project, in Alexander County, North Carolina. This site is noncommercial. It carries no advertising, sells nothing, and I have no connection to any competitor of L&G Building & Concrete. The name “L&G Building & Concrete” is used only to identify the company being reviewed. No logos or branding of the company are used.
